This is a very early Ernst Leitz, Leica Screw Mount Camera Self-Timer which could well be pre-war as evidenced by the tiny sewn leather snap purse. While not engraved as more recent timers, it looks similar to catalog # 14003 (APDOO) and was manufactured by E. Leitz Wetzlar in Germany. I got it 49 years ago from Alfredo's Cameras in New Orleans, and used it with my first IIIa screw-mount body. My old IIIa is long gone, now it's time to find the charming device a new home.
